Following is a listing of the seminars we have offered.

January 10, 2012 – Dr. Malcolm Kram on Veterinary Acupuncture.  

Novmber 10, 2011 – Ronnie Yaskin on Animal Communication and the benefits of massage.

September 13, 2011 – Dr Judith Shoemaker, VMD on holistic medicine, feeding raw diet and acupuncture.
May 10, 2011 K-9 Presentation – K-9 Jax and Handler Officer Mikell Jones, Aston Twp.
April 12, 2011 – Denise Moser of Delaware County Family services, on the affect of second hand smoke on animals.
November 9, 2010 – Lt. John Miller, head of the K-9 unit at the Delaware County prison spoke about the K-9 activity at the prison as well as their support of the PA State Police and the various local police departments.  Lt. Miller was accompanied by K-9 officer Zebediah (Bloodhound).

October 12, 2010 – Dr. Merly Littman, University of Pennsylvania, spoke on canine vaccination protocols and aspects of lyme disease in canines. 

June 9, 2009 – Mr. Douglas Fearn of the Lyme Disease Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania discussed the current situation of Lyme disease in our area.

May 12, 2009 – Officer Albert Rodriquez of the Wilker-Barre Police and his K-9 partner Sequis demonstrated drug detection and suspect control skills required in police work.

September 9, 2008 – Mr. Julian Prager of the PA Federation of Dog Clubs detailed the current status of pending dog laws in the Commonwealth and the negatiations that have taken place regarding those bills.

June 10, 2008 – Mr. James Mitchell of the AKC on the services of the AKC Field Rep. and Bench Show Hearings.

May13, 2008 – Jeff Robertson of Royal Canine held a question and answer session on dog nutrition for different ages of dogs lives and their breed specific foods.  Jeff can be contacted atJeff.Robertson@royalcanin.us.Pet First Aid class, conducted by RiddleMemorialHospital paramedic Al Kalbach with the aid of “Casper the CPR Dog.”

January 9, 2007 – the Pet Ambulance and Vaugh Mon’Real came to our meeting and we had a first hand view of the emergency equipment and a run through of the services they provide.

May 9, 2006 – we had a program by Philadelphia attorney Ann Miller, Esq., on estate planning for our pets.

April 11, 2006 –  we had a taped program by Dr. Hutchinson on breeding.

November 15, 2005 – PA State Animal Response team regarding the formation of a state wide system to address animal emergencies.

In addition to outside presentations listed above, we also have member presentations on individual breeds.  The following breeds have been presented:
